Some of our favorite shoes and boots are made with Horween Chromexcel (CXL) or oiled leathers such as the Red Wing 875s pictured above. We have gotten a lot of inquiries as to which leather care product we recommend for such types of shoes or boots. For CXL or oiled leather shoes and boots we highly recommend Saphir Greasy Leather Cream. This cream is designed to restore and recondition oily leathers, leathers that are infused with oils in the tanning process. How to Care for Suede Shoes with Saphir Medaille d'Or

Saphir Medaille d'Or products needed (see pic 1): Large spatula brush Saphir Crepe Brush Saphir Gommadin (rubber eraser) Saphir Medaille d'Or Omninettoyant (suede shampoo) Saphir Medaille d'Or Suede Renovateur Step 1: Brushing Remove dust with the spatula brush (1)   Step 2: Restore the pile: With the crepe brush (2) remove small dirt from shoes and restore the pile. The crepe brush is ideal for cleaning and eliminates shine. Step 3: Cleaning Erase dirty marks on the surface with the Gommadin (3). Gommadin is rubber made for stain-removing and the dry cleaning of surface dirt. Saphir Products needed (see pic): 1. Saphir Large Horse Hair Brush 2. Saphir Reno'Mat 3. Saphir Medaille d'Or Creme 1925 (match color with shoes) 4. Saphir Jar Dauber Spreading Brush 5. Saphir Medaille d'Or Polishing Brush 6. Saphir Cotton Chamois Cloth Step 1 Brushing: First remove any dirty marks or specks of dust.
